The answer

A husband is permitted to demand compensation for the financial losses he incurred due to his wife's work, but he is not allowed to compel her to pay if she does not consent. A wife is not entitled to go out to work without her husband's permission, unless she stipulated this in the marriage contract. Nevertheless, a husband has the right to prevent her from working if it conflicts with the family's interest. If the husband stipulates that his wife give him a portion of her salary in exchange for permission to work, she is obliged to fulfill this condition. Both spouses should strive for good companionship and understanding.
