The husband has the right to stipulate to his wife that she give him a portion of her salary in exchange for his permission for her to work. This condition is legally binding on the wife, even if it is not written. The husband does not have the right to force his wife to work to spend on the household, and he has the right to prevent her from working unless he is in financial difficulty and cannot provide for her. It is recommended to treat the wife kindly and allow her to work in permissible jobs without stipulating money.
