If a woman enters into a state of , she is not permitted to wear gloves or a niqab. If she is compelled to do so out of necessity, such as cold or illness, it is permissible for her to do so with a (expiation), which is: fasting for three days, or feeding six needy persons, or slaughtering a sheep.

There is no harm for a woman in using wet wipes when changing a child, as long as they are not perfumed.

It is obligatory to shorten the hair from all parts of the head. If this is difficult for the woman, she may shorten it from its lower ends and from the forelock if possible.
