Is it obligatory to make up the fast of the days of menstruation, knowing that menstruation is beyond one's control and the woman fasted these days while menstruating?

Scholars are in agreement regarding the prohibition of fasting for menstruating women and women in postpartum bleeding, and that their fast is not valid. They also agree on the obligation for them to make up the fasts of Ramadan (definition). A menstruating woman must make up the days she missed before the next Ramadan begins. Transitioning to expiation (fidyah (definition)) is only permissible in the event of inability to fast due to an illness from which recovery is not expected.
