Is the husband obligated to make up for the missed Ramadan fasts of his wife due to her illness before her death?

The jurists have agreed that whoever breaks their fast in Ramadan (definition) due to an excuse, and the excuse persists until death, then there is nothing (no penalty) upon them. However, if they were able to make up the fasts but did not do so until they died, then food should be given on their behalf, and fasting on their behalf is also permissible.

Therefore, if the deceased woman did not neglect making up the fasts, then neither making up the fasts nor feeding the poor is obligatory upon you on her behalf. But if she was able to make up the fasts and neglected to do so, then you must feed one poor person for each day.
