The answer

A woman who intentionally breaks her fast during the day in after reaching puberty has committed a grave sin. She must offer sincere repentance and make up for the days she missed. Expiation () is not required of her unless the breaking of the fast was due to sexual intercourse. If she does not know the number of days, she should make up for a number of days that would clear her conscience. In addition to making up the days, she must feed a poor person for each day she delayed making up until the next Ramadan. However, if the breaking of the fast occurred before puberty, there is no obligation upon her.
