The answer

A Muslim woman is not permitted to allow her polytheist father to live with her in her house if he brings his idols, because this is an affirmation of a great evil. Rather, she must refuse this, in obedience to Allah's saying: "But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them, but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness." If the father insists on bringing his idols, she is not obliged to enable him to do so. Rather, she should strive to maintain ties with him, visit him, and invite him [to Islam] without compromising her religion.
