Is it permissible to gift a Qur'an to a non-Muslim woman, and is she required to perform ablution to read it?

It is not permissible to give a copy of the Qur’an (Mus'haf) to a disbeliever, out of concern that they might disrespect it or tamper with it, and because "none shall touch it save the purified." It has also been prohibited to travel with the Qur’an to enemy territory. However, it is permissible to teach a disbeliever the Qur’an and recite it to them. If they embrace Islam and purify themselves, the Mus'haf can then be given to them. Scholars have also permitted giving a disbeliever some translations of the Qur’an, provided that they are not accompanied by an Arabic text separate from the words of the translation.
