Is it wrong to prevent a wife from leaving the house unless her husband is present, knowing that he works long hours and gets very little time off, which may lead her to feel bored?
A husband must take care of his wife and children, protecting them from various temptations that may affect them, and keep them away from places of evil and corrupting influences. He should dedicate time to care for his family and raise his children, and not leave his wife alone for long periods, unless there is something to compensate for his absence, such as studying religious knowledge or being in good company. A is not required for a woman when she goes out for non-travel purposes if the place is safe and the path is secure, unless there is a risk of fitna. Muslims in non-Muslim countries are advised to live together in one dwelling to provide a righteous environment and protection for their families.
