What is the ruling on a Hindu working in a company where the majority of employees are Muslims, and what is the ruling on associating with him at work, and eating and drinking from his food, and interacting with him?

Originally, it is permissible for a disbeliever to work in a Muslim's company. However, it is better for the company owner to seek Muslim employees. If he finds a Muslim with the same competence and salary, he should prioritize him over the disbeliever. It is also permissible to accept a disbeliever's invitation for food, as long as the food is not unlawful and there is no objectionable act in the place. This is based on the hadith (definition) narrated by Anas in Musnad Ahmad, which states that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, accepted a Jew's invitation and ate from his food. It is also the duty of Muslims to invite disbelievers to Islam and to provide books and tapes in their language.
