Is it true that if a drunkard eats the meat of a pilgrim, it will make him stop drinking?

The meat of Hajj refers to the meat from the sacrificial animals and offerings slaughtered by pilgrims and those performing sacrifices in the Haram (definition) of Mecca. It is no different from any other meat. There is no evidence to suggest that consuming meat can be a reason for someone to stop drinking alcohol.

What prevents a drinker from consuming alcohol, however, is what has been stated regarding the dispraise and punishment of alcohol drinkers: - Every intoxicant is forbidden, and Allah has promised that whoever drinks an intoxicant, He will make him drink from "Teenat al-Khabal" (the sweat or fluid of the inhabitants of Hellfire). - Their prayers are not accepted for forty mornings. - Whoever drinks alcohol in this world and dies addicted to it without repenting will be deprived of it in the Hereafter. - The alcohol drinker deserves to be flogged as a legal punishment (Hadd).
