Intoxicants

• What is the ruling on selling alcohol breathalyzers imposed on drivers, and does the ruling differ between selling them in places where alcohol is consumed, in public places, to individuals, or in a Muslim or non-Muslim country?
• Does the absence of punishment for drinking alcohol in man-made laws constitute an act of making forbidden things permissible (istihlal), even if it is not stated that drinking alcohol is permissible (halal)?
• Is marrying a Muslim who drinks alcohol at social gatherings considered a sin, despite his dislike for alcohol and his belief that it is the root of all major sins, especially when there is hesitation to accept the engagement because of it?
• Why was the punishment for drugs discretionary and not like that for drinking alcohol?
• Is the ruling on intoxicants (drugs) the same as the ruling on alcohol in terms of being denied entry into Paradise and drinking alcohol in the Hereafter?
