Does masturbation during 'Umrah invalidate the 'Umrah or annul the marriage contract that took place after it?

Masturbation is forbidden (haram (definition)), and its prohibition and sinfulness are amplified during virtuous days and in sacred places, such as Hajj and Umrah (definition). It is considered among the prohibitions of ihram (definition). However, according to the majority of scholars, it does not invalidate the ritual (nusuk) but necessitates a fidyah (definition) (expiatory sacrifice). This fidyah is an expiation for harm (fidyat adha) and offers a choice: either slaughtering a sheep, feeding six needy persons, or fasting for three days. The Umrah remains valid and does not need to be repeated; rather, the fidyah must be offered.
