The guardian must ensure the child avoids what an adult avoids of the prohibitions of . If the guardian does not remove sewn garments from the child for fear of the cold, there is no sin upon him, but (expiation) becomes obligatory. According to the most preponderant opinions, this fidyah is incumbent upon the guardian, and it offers a choice between fasting for three days, or feeding six poor persons, or sacrificing a sheep.
