What is incumbent upon my father who performed Hajj while ill and was unable to wear the ihram garments?

If a pilgrim assumes ihram (definition) in his regular clothes due to an excuse (cold, illness, etc.), it is permissible for him to do so according to Islamic law, but he must offer a fidyah (definition) for wearing sewn garments: fasting for three days, or feeding six poor persons (half a saa' for each poor person), or sacrificing a sheep. The same ruling applies to covering the head. Fasting is valid anywhere, but feeding and sacrificing must take place within the Haram (definition) of Mecca.
