Who was the Amir of Mecca after the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, returned to Medina following the Conquest?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, appointed Attab ibn Asid over Mecca after the Conquest. Scholars have differed on the exact timing of his appointment: some say it was when the Prophet marched to Hunayn, while others say it was after his return from Ta'if. Attab remained governor of Mecca until his death. He led the Hajj pilgrimage in the year of the Conquest, and he was in his early twenties when he was appointed.
