The answer

When Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) menstruated before completing her ', the Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded her to combine Hajj with 'Umrah, making her a Qarinah (one performing ). He informed her that her circumambulation () and striving (Sa'y) on the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr) would suffice for both her Hajj and her 'Umrah.

As for her second 'Umrah from Tan'im, it was done to appease her after she insisted to the Prophet (peace be upon him), desiring to perform an independent 'Umrah like other female Companions, and it was not obligatory for her. Combining Hajj and 'Umrah (Qiran) is permissible by consensus. And whoever assumes for 'Umrah, intending to perform Tamattu', then fears missing Hajj, must combine Hajj with 'Umrah to become a Qarin, as Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) did.
