The fundamental principle is for a woman to remain in her home unless there is a necessity or need, such as praying in the mosque, performing Hajj or Umrah (definition), or visiting relatives. However, this must be within Sharia (definition) guidelines, such as the presence of a mahram (definition), full hijab (definition), and avoiding tabarruj (displaying adornment) and perfumes. As for recreation, it must be permissible, free from forbidden elements like intermingling, gazing [at non-mahrams], or traveling without a mahram. If it meets these conditions and her outings for it are not excessive, then there is no harm in it.
