Is it permissible to uncover the face in front of relatives who live in the same house when wearing the niqab, given the awkwardness of covering the face and the assurance of no fitnah from them?

There is a difference of opinion regarding the permissibility of a woman uncovering her face in front of non-mahram (definition) men. It is preferable for her to cover her face from them, especially if she knows that they are looking at her. Non-mahram relatives are treated the same as strangers, and a woman must be careful not to uncover what is impermissible to uncover in front of them. It is better for men's gatherings to be separate from women's gatherings. If a woman does not cover her face in front of some of her relatives, this does not prevent her from covering it when she leaves the house, in accordance with the verse: "So fear Allah as much as you are able."
