Is the husband entitled to abandon his wife's family's home and cease visiting her mother due to disputes with the wife's sister, knowing that there was a previously good relationship with the rest of the family and that the wife's father has passed away?

Muslims should be keen to mend relationships, foster harmony, show mercy, and forgive, especially in family relations. What the husband did by cutting off visits to his wife's mother and siblings is not permissible if it reaches the level of abandonment, and he is sinful if he persists in that, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is not lawful for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three days." The wife must strive to reconcile and resolve differences, while being mindful of the Sharia (definition) guidelines for interacting with non-mahram (definition) women.
