The answer

Islam is a realistic religion that acknowledges marital disputes and has provided ways to resolve them. Among the most important aids to reconciliation between spouses are patience and supplication (Du'a). Patience is a great virtue, and it is natural for anger to occur between spouses, and one of them might leave the house fearing the escalation of the matter. Meanwhile, supplication is the weapon of the believer to achieve what they desire. The questioner should supplicate for their parents, asking Allah to reconcile them, and observe the manners of supplication. The fact that this world is a realm of trial does not mean surrender; rather, a wise person repels destiny with destiny, and repels affliction with supplication and beneficial means.
