Is it permissible to perform Umrah on behalf of those who are unjust by word, deed, or action, and will it absolve them of their wrongdoing and accountability on the Day of Resurrection?

The way to rid oneself of the burden of injustice is to seek absolution from it in a manner that satisfies the wronged person before the Day of Judgment. Otherwise, on the Day of Judgment, the wronged person will take from the good deeds of the wrongdoer. If the wrongdoer has no good deeds, then some of the sins of the wronged person will be transferred to him. As for performing Umrah (definition) on behalf of others, it is permissible if they are deceased, or if they are alive and have given their permission. If the wronged individuals agree to absolution by performing Umrah on their behalf, that is sufficient. Otherwise, it is obligatory to inform them and seek their forgiveness, provided that informing them does not increase their anger. As for injustices where informing the wronged person is feared to increase their anger (such as slander and betrayal concerning family members), one should seek forgiveness for them and engage in sincere repentance without informing them.
