What are the simple deeds that can be done to obtain great reward, and do performing rak'ahs before sleep suffice for Qiyam al-Layl, and is there a reward for illness?

Calamities are expiations [for sins] and means of raising one's rank. Authentic hadiths have proven that reward is attained merely by the occurrence of a calamity, and this reward increases with patience and contentment.
