A mother is not permitted to refuse her husband's bed unless there is a valid excuse. Otherwise, she is considered disobedient (nashiz) and forfeits her right to maintenance. Similarly, she is not allowed to leave the house without his permission unless it is absolutely necessary. If the pregnancy poses a danger to her life, she is permitted to use a method of contraception. You should advise her to cohabit with her husband in a befitting manner.
