This world is a place of trial, and a person should remember Allah’s blessings upon them. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, taught us a supplication that removes worry and grief: "There is no god but Allah, the All-Mighty, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the heavens, and Lord of the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne." In addition to medical treatment, it is recommended to make abundant supplications and recite the Qur'an over the patient, for the Qur'an is a healing.
