Does treatment with the Quran cure physical diseases like cancer, just as it cures spiritual diseases like the evil eye and possession, and is there any evidence for that?

The Quran and supplication (Du'a) are, by Allah's will, a cure for all ills. Allah Almighty says: (Say, "It is for those who believe, a guidance and a cure") and (And We send down of the Qur'an that which is healing and mercy for the believers). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to recite Surah (definition) Al-Ikhlas (definition) and the two Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas) into his cupped hands three times before sleeping, then wipe his body with them, starting with his head, face, and chest.
