These symptoms are from diabolical possession, and its treatment is easy with wisdom and patience, for the devil’s cunning is weak. The sister should observe the obligatory prayers, draw closer to Allah through acts of obedience and remembrances (adhkar), abandon sins, and dedicate a portion of the night prayer and supplication in the last third of the night. Shar'iyyah is recommended for her, especially Al-Fatiha, Al-Baqarah, and the Al-Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas), and frequent listening to the Qur’an. We advise you to stay away from her for a sufficient period for her longing for you to increase and for the barrier of fear to break, and to postpone consummating the marriage until she is cured or shows improvement. Otherwise, you should reconsider the matter to avoid discord.
