What is the ruling of the Sharia concerning dealing with a stubborn wife who abuses her husband's father and refuses to see a psychiatrist?

Both spouses must return to Allah Almighty, make abundant supplications (du'a), and seek out times when prayers are answered, all while having certainty in the answer and not rushing. They should use the prescribed religious supplications, including ruqyah (definition) and reading the Quran, for it is a healing and a mercy for the believers. The husband should be emotionally supportive of his wife and take her on outings and activities she enjoys. He should not insist forcefully when she refuses to cooperate, because a depressed person prefers to have their attention drawn to things rather than being demanded of them. Finally, gentleness is important, and patience is beautiful, for most cases of depression can be treated, and the wife may need support to overcome her current state.
