Does the miracle of healing leprosy, specifically granted to our master Jesus, peace be upon him, mean that it is impermissible to seek a cure for leprosy, and that doing so contradicts the Holy Quran?

The treatment of leprosy was not exclusive to Jesus (peace be upon him). It is authentically reported in a Muslim Hadith (definition) that the boy of the Ditch (Ghulām al-Ukhdūd) used to cure the blind and the leper. In reality, doctors treat leprosy. The miracle of Jesus (peace be upon him) lay in his healing of it through supplication without medicine or drugs. This does not preclude the occasional acceptance of supplication from others besides Jesus. There is no harm in seeking a cure for leprosy, as it falls under the diseases for which Allah has legislated treatment, in accordance with the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Allah has not sent down a disease except that He has sent down its cure," and "Seek treatment, for Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, has not placed a disease but that He has also placed a cure for it, except for one disease." They asked, "What is it?" He said, "Old age." It is recommended to supplicate frequently.
