Is it permissible for me to use medications to treat a deficiency of substances in the brain that causes me hypersensitivity, introversion, and fear, knowing that this condition is hereditary? And is this considered a change in God's creation?

Medical treatment is permissible and is not considered an alteration of Allah's creation. Scholars have differed regarding its ruling, oscillating between permissibility, recommendability, and the option to forgo treatment. Medical treatment encompasses all internal, mental, and neurological diseases. It is permissible to seek treatment from specialized doctors using permissible medications. However, it is not permissible for a patient to go to soothsayers or believe them. Attention should be given to lawful remedies such as ruqyah (definition) with the Quran and Sunnah (definition), like reciting Al-Fatiha, Al-Ikhlas (definition), Al-Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas), Ayatul-Kursi, and supplicating with authentic prayers.
