No evidence has been found in the Sunnah (definition) to prove or disprove the efficacy of treating magic with Sidr leaves. It has been established that whoever eats seven Ajwa dates from Medina every morning will not be harmed by poison or magic on that day, due to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Whoever eats seven Ajwa dates every morning will not be harmed by poison or magic on that day." Some scholars mentioned that this is due to the blessing of his prayer, peace and blessings be upon him, for the dates of Medina, and is not specific to Ajwa dates.
