What is the ruling on seeking treatment and benefiting from the sidr tree, which is said to have had legal ruqyah recited upon it for some time, or to have had recitation upon it by a sorcerer?

The treatment of magic with sidr leaves has been narrated by a group of the Salaf, such as Wahb ibn Munabbih. This involves taking seven green sidr leaves, crushing them between two stones, then mixing them with water. Upon this mixture, Ayatul-Kursi and the Qawāqil (Surahs Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas, and Al-Kafirun) are recited. Then, one drinks three sips from it and bathes with the remainder. This applies generally to all sidr trees, and no specific tree is distinguished. Treatment with it is prescribed, as it is like any other sidr tree, with the belief that Allah is the Healer.
