The answer

Commercial dealings with a disbeliever, a disobedient Muslim, or an innovator are permissible in buying, selling, leasing, and renting. There is no religious proof that prohibits this. In fact, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, gave Khaybar to the Jews for them to cultivate and plant, and they were entitled to half of its produce. This indicates the permissibility of dealing with non-Muslims.

Al-Bukhari titled chapters on this matter as: "Chapter on Sharecropping with Jews" and "Chapter on Partnering with Dhimmis and Polytheists in Sharecropping."

Some scholars are of the view that just as partnering with Dhimmis in cultivating land is permissible, so too are other types of transactions.
