What is the ruling on marketing the aforementioned product, which relies on pyramid marketing, given the presence of an actual product? And is it permissible for me to take a commission if the purchase is for the product itself, and not for the purpose of marketing?

It is not permissible to buy a product or market it with the aim of obtaining returns from pyramid marketing, due to the presence of gharar (definition) (uncertainty) and gambling therein, even if the product is useful and its price is genuine, as long as the motive is to obtain those returns. It is permissible to buy the product, benefit from it, and sell it without engaging in pyramid marketing. Brokerage is permissible because it is a wage for a lawful act, unlike pyramid marketing where the participant obtains money without work from marketing to customers, and this is considered consuming people's wealth unlawfully and contains impermissible Islamic elements.
