The answer

The criterion for the validity or invalidity of a drunken person's prayer is the Almighty's saying: "O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying." So, whoever prays while overcome in his mind, not knowing what he is doing, his prayer is invalid, and he must repeat it when he regains sobriety. As for whoever prays under the influence of intoxication while being aware of what he is doing, his prayer is sufficient, and he is not required to repeat it.
