What is the ruling on an imam who, upon rising from the Tashahhud, says: "Peace and blessings be upon him," and invokes blessings upon the Prophet every time he hears him mentioned during the prayer? And does he perform the prostration of forgetfulness (sujud al-sahw) if he makes a linguistic error in the final Tashahhud? And what is the ruling on the prayer of the congregant if he coincides with or precedes an imam who vocalizes the first taslimah and whispers the second?

1. The prayer of one who says "Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam" (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) after the first Tashahhud (definition) is not invalidated, nor does it necessitate the prostration of forgetfulness (sujud (definition) as-sahw), because it is a prescribed remembrance in prayer.

2. It is not possible to rule on an error (lahn) in the Tashahhud without knowing its nature and effect.

3. A follower preceding the Imam in the second salutation (taslimah) does not affect the validity of the prayer if it was due to forgetfulness or the belief that the Imam had sufficed with a single salutation.
