What is the ruling on the prayer of a prisoner who is prevented from knowing the time and from purifying himself from the two types of ritual impurity, and is prevented from performing the prayer, and does the prayer become waived for him in this situation?

Prayer is never waived for a legally responsible individual. They must pray according to their ability, and what they are unable to do or what causes them unbearable hardship is waived for them. If prevented from praying (such as someone who is bound), they should pray in their current state, gesturing (i.e., by nodding), to honor the sacredness of the time. However, they must repeat the prayer once they are able to perform it with all its pillars. This is the correct and well-known position.
