The answer

It is permissible for a traveler on a lawful journey to shorten the four-rak'ah prayers. The distance for shortening is set at a journey of four burd (approximately 83 km). One benefits from the concessions of travel, such as shortening prayers, even if their travel is repeated, whether by land, sea, or air.

Continuous travel does not prevent one from availing these concessions except in two cases:

1. If one intends to reside in a country for four days or more, they must pray in full.

2. If one arrives in a country where they have family (a wife) or which is their original homeland, they must pray in full.
