What is the difference between commencing travel before Fajr prayer and after it for a traveler on Friday, and is he obligated to pray Jumu'ah?

The scholars agree on the permissibility of traveling before Fajr on Friday, and its impermissibility after Dhuhr (midday). They differed on traveling between Fajr and Dhuhr, with the majority allowing it, and this is the stronger opinion, including Umar, Ibn Umar, Al-Hasan (definition), Az-Zuhri, Abu Hanifa, Malik, and Ahmad. Jumu'ah (Friday prayer) is not obligatory upon the traveler according to the general body of scholars, due to the lack of evidence that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed it during his travels. Sheikh al-Islam chose the view that the traveler is obligated to attend Jumu'ah if he is staying in a place where it is established.
