Friday Prayer

• Is it permissible for Syrian refugees to shorten their prayers (qasr), and does Friday prayer remain obligatory for them, and are there any special rulings for them regarding fasting, taking into account that they are awaiting a solution to their problem?
• Is constant fear of breaking off the engagement, along with the fiances' commitment to prayer and encouraging each other in it, and a feeling of strange energy after their meetings, normal during an engagement period that may extend for four years?
• Is it permissible for someone afflicted with obsessive doubts regarding ghusl (ritual bath) and intention, who spends a long time performing ghusl, to pray Jumu'ah (Friday prayer) with the Imam and then make up the Fajr (dawn) prayer after Jumu'ah, knowing that he did not pray Fajr before Jumu'ah prayer?
• What is the ruling on the prayer of one who suffers from excessive flatulence and finds it difficult to maintain their ablution for the duration of the prayer?
• Is a witness who is negligent in his prayers, sometimes abandoning them but not entirely, yet prays Friday prayers and fasts, considered an unrighteous person whose testimony is not accepted, or an apostate who has no testimony, especially according to those who consider justice a recommended matter in marriage contracts?
• Does the fear and anxiety of employees about the sermon permit them to pray Dhuhr instead of Jumu'ah?
• Is it permissible for a suitor to see and speak with the woman he intends to propose to before the official engagement? Is it permissible to perform Istikhara prayer for more than one woman? And how should a wife be chosen in terms of beauty, lineage, and religiosity?
• Should a girl suffering from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)—including obsessions related to purity and prayer that consume a long time, affect her daily life and psychological state, and for which she takes multiple medications—inform her suitor about the full reality of her condition, and when should she inform him of that?
• What is the ruling on fulfilling a worldly need before or after prayer in the mosque, or going to a distant mosque because there is a need within it or near it, knowing that the worshipper was going to go out to pray in any case?
• What is the ruling regarding the Friday prayers of last week, and must they be re-offered as a full Dhuhr prayer, after it became clear that they were invalid due to the lack of settlement (istīṭān) and the incompleteness of the quorum?
• Is it permissible to pray in a mosque consisting of two separate floors, especially for Friday prayer, with the presence of a loudspeaker?
• Is receiving a salary from a non-Muslim country in exchange for not working — with occasional secret work to cover living expenses — considered permissible (halal) or forbidden (haram), especially if full-time work would conflict with performing prayers and Friday prayer?
• Is there a pre-prayer Sunnah for Dhuhr on Friday for someone who missed Friday prayer with a valid excuse?

• Is there a special significance to Surat Al-Jumu'ah, and is it recommended to recite it on Friday, like Surat Al-Kahf?
• Is it obligatory to attend Friday prayer with brothers whose speech is not understood, or is it better to go to another mosque where the sermon is understood? And is it permissible to read the website's fatwas during a sermon that is not understood?
• What is the correct Adhan for Friday prayer, and is it permissible for one mosque to differ from the rest of the mosques in the timing of the first Adhan, such that it is 10 minutes before the Dhuhr Adhan, while other mosques call the Adhan at the time of the Dhuhr Adhan? And is it permissible to play Quran recitation through loudspeakers five minutes before the Fajr Adhan?
• What is the ruling on continuing an engagement to a girl whose appearance the suitor is not convinced by, despite her righteousness and religiosity, and is it permissible to break off an engagement due to not being convinced by her appearance, especially when fearing injustice, and particularly after repeated Istikhara prayers and an inability to settle on a decision?
• Is one who adopts the view of the jurists who hold that Friday Prayer is an individual or communal obligation, while disregarding the view that it is a Sunnah due to its anomalous nature, considered sinful?
• Is it permissible to return to a job that conflicts with Friday and congregational prayers, knowing that it provides for the household's needs without recourse to government assistance?
