How authentic is the intention to pray four Rak'ahs as expiation for missed prayers, and what is the manner of praying them as mentioned in the Hadith attributed to the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him?

We did not find a in the books of hadith containing the prayer mentioned in the question. Al-Shawkani mentioned a hadith that is well-known among the jurists in the city of Sana'a, judging it to be fabricated, which is: "Whoever prays on the last Friday of the five obligatory prayers of the day and night, it will compensate for what he missed of prayer during his year." And there is no harm in supplicating with whatever one wishes at any time. And whoever has missed prayers that he did not perform intentionally must make up what he strongly believes to be the number of missed prayers.
