What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding one who broke her fast in Ramadan for several days due to ignorance of the duration of her menstrual cycle? Is expiation (kaffarah) obligatory upon her, and if so, what is it?

If the questioner broke her fast in out of ignorance of the religious ruling, and then made up those days in the same year, then there is no expiation (kaffara) due upon her, because expiation is only obligatory for intentionally engaging in sexual intercourse during the daytime in Ramadan. And if she abandoned prayers during those days out of ignorance, then she must make up those prayers now if she has not already made them up.
