What is the ruling on prayers that were not made up due to ignorance of the obligation to make them up for a menstruating woman? And what is the ruling on the 'Isha and Maghrib prayers when purity occurs after midnight? And does what was done out of ignorance or forgetfulness necessitate making it up?

If a menstruating woman becomes pure before Fajr, she prays Maghrib and Isha. If she becomes pure before sunset, she prays Dhuhr and Asr together. This is the view of the majority of scholars. The majority of scholars hold that missed prayers due to ignorance must be made up (qada'), while Ibn Taymiyyah was of the view that it is not obligatory. It is permissible to adopt the view of العلامة العثيمين (Al-Allamah Al-Uthaymeen) that no qada' is required, and similarly, it is permissible to adopt the view of Abu Hanifa to only make up Isha if she became pure after its time had begun. However, the view of the majority is more cautious.
