The answer

Prayer holds a great status in Islam; it is the pillar of the religion and the best of all acts of worship. It was enjoined directly upon the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Dawn (Fajr) Prayer, in particular, has a special virtue, as it is mentioned in the Holy Quran, and some scholars consider it to be the 'middle prayer'. Among the virtues reported about it is that whoever prays it in congregation is as if he had spent the entire night in prayer. It is also the heaviest prayer for the hypocrites, and whoever prays it in congregation is under the protection of Allah Almighty. The Companions used to check on those who missed it and the 'Isha (night) Prayer.
