The answer

One must give thanks for the blessing of graduation and adhere to the limits of Islamic law, avoiding common transgressions in graduation ceremonies, which include: celebrating to the tune of prohibited musical instruments, the mixing of male and female students, wearing the "graduation gown" which is considered among the garments of disbelievers and Christian monks, neglecting prayers and delaying them beyond their prescribed times, and attending polytheistic religious rituals performed by Buddhists. All these matters are forbidden by Islamic law and do not permit combining the two prayers.
