How can a Syrian youth, who has returned to Allah after a period of disobedience and neglecting prayer, overcome his psychological state and restore his closeness to Allah?

The noble Hadith (definition) recommends that you remember Allah, and He will remember you and be with you. It calls for asking only Allah and seeking help from Him alone. It emphasizes that what Allah has decreed for you or against you will inevitably befall you. Therefore, a believer should be content with Allah's decree and destiny. Happiness lies in the certainty that Allah's choice is the best, and that destinies were written fifty thousand years before the creation of the heavens and the earth. What you missed in this world was never destined for you in the first place, so do not pursue it or resort to forbidden acts. Rather, return to Allah and supplicate: "O Ever-Living, O Sustainer! By Your mercy I seek help; rectify all my affairs for me and do not entrust me to myself for the blink of an eye."
