Is ghusl obligatory for someone whose desire reached its peak without intercourse, and who did not ejaculate due to a surgery they underwent?

The mere arousal of desire or enjoyment with one's wife without intercourse does not necessitate ghusl (definition) (ritual bath), unless semen, which obligates ghusl, is discharged. Therefore, if desire is aroused or enjoyment occurs without penetration, or if one experiences a wet dream without seeing semen, ghusl is not required, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, if she sees the water [i.e., seminal fluid]" (Agreed upon). Ghusl is not obligatory due to the presence of desire alone, but rather by penetration or the discharge of semen.
