What is the ruling on hair softening with laser for men and women, and what is the ruling on wearing colored contact lenses?

Honoring and beautifying hair is permissible, so long as it does not reach blameworthy excessiveness, or result in harm, or involve the use of materials that prevent water from reaching the hair during purification (taharah (definition)). This applies to both men and women, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever has hair, let him honor it." Therefore, there is no objection to treating hair with laser or other methods, provided the aforementioned conditions are met. Similarly, there is no religious impediment to using colored contact lenses, provided the specified conditions are observed.
