Does dry bedding, previously urinated on by a child, become defiled if a person touches it while wet after performing ablution?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
If a wet garment or a wet part of the body touches a dry impure spot, it becomes impure according to the majority of scholars, and the wet area that touched the impurity must be washed. To get rid of obsessive doubts, purify the impure furnishings or avoid touching them with wet clothes. If these obsessive doubts become pathological and you doubt every piece of furniture or clothing, then disregard them, as there is leeway in the opinion of those who do not consider it impure in this case.
