What is the ruling on the discharges that a woman experiences due to excessive movement, and are they impure, necessitating the changing of clothes or purifying them for prayer?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
The difference between female madhiy (pre-seminal fluid) and vaginal discharge is that madhiy is a thin fluid that exits from the urinary tract when lust intensifies. It is impure, and whatever it touches of the body and clothes must be purified. It necessitates washing the private parts, and its emission nullifies wudu (ablution). As for vaginal fluid, it is a sticky fluid that flows and has no relation to lust. It is pure.
